The St. Lucia Food and Rum Festival – an Epicurean Dream

 Gourmet food, fine wines and aged rums against a tropical setting, conjure up a type of Caribbean heaven on earth…you can come to your senses, because it's real. St. Lucia 's very first Food and Rum Festival is here, courtesy the team at MACO and Rodney Bay Village.

The event is scheduled for October 26 th to the 29 th , and promises to be a whirlwind of fun-filled activities, with wine-tasting booths, cigar-rolling and cooking demonstrations, and the chance to learn culinary secrets first-hand from the region's best. Many of the chefs appearing at the event have been featured in MACO Caribbean Living, and promise to announce to the world the hidden delights of Caribbean cuisine.

Sample the best rums from Cuba , Jamaica , Trinidad , Barbados , and Guyana , among others, while you delight your senses with the finest cuisine the Caribbean has to offer, from world-class chefs and five-star restaurants to star-studded performances and parties at St Lucia 's famous Rodney Bay Village.

With the St. Lucia Food and Rum Festival, the MACO team are on their home turf, committing themselves to the painstaking task of reviewing every decadent dish along with the many rums from the region. Andy Rose, Virginia Burke and Kahlid Mohammed of Battimamzelle fame are only some of the chefs promising to deliver the goods.

Hosting the events are MACO's own Judy Bastyra, culinary writer extraordinaire and author of innumerable books on Caribbean cuisine, and Rosemary Parkinson of the Jamaica Gleaner, also author of Culinaria: Caribbean Cooking .
